that IS the silver lining, NB. Man Who and Chelski out of the Cup, whoo hoo! Best footballing weekend in years. Apart from NCFC, but we're not talking about that.
Isn't it great though? ManU lose and blame the pitch, the refs, everything but their own shortcomings. Oh and Chelski, threatening to fire the manager who has given them 4 defeats in 38 matches. What a larf.
Nice one! Fingers crossed mate. On a different note, at the start of next month i'll be going to the fortress of doom known as St James's Park. My mate's a big fan (God help him!) and he's been to a Norwich games last season so it's my turn to return the favour. Should be good for a laugh!
will it be that difficult to get a ticket schmindie? they were being quite patronising on the news this morning saying the remaining teams will never be able to fill wembley for the final and semis. i wouldn't mind going actually, surely plenty of manwhoo and chelski supporters flogging their tickets...
it won't be a shortage from pompey - think they were talking mainly about barnsley (and perhaps dirty cardiff)...
we'll get an allocation of about 33,000 - our average attendance is deceptive as we 95% fill our stadium every week and the remaining 5% is about not being able to pay on the day, the seats remaining being crap, and them very rarely being together meaning sitting on your own - a nightmare if you head up with friends.
the cup final will be even worse if we beat the baggies - as last year the finalists got an allocation of 26,000 each...
if i can get a ticket I'll be at wembley - i'll be cheering the side on one way or another...

Silver linings anyone? I suppose at least a grumpy SAF gave us all a laugh. 16 shots at goal, they don't score, blame the pitch!

It's not been a bad weekend, all told ;-)

Afternoon everyone.
Superb stuff Schmimds, well stoked for you.
There were silver linings in the cup shocks and David Haye dominating the boxing.
