The thing I find most surprising about this news is that I thought they had axed Grange Hill decades ago.
The writer has apparently decided that it is no longer relevant, and that there is now little scope for tackling the issues affecting school kids these days.
The above photo is from a recent episode in which Grange Hill tackles the very serious issue of greedy fat victims eating too much cake and being generally unpopular, thereby bringing upon their own heads the righteous vengenace of the school bully.

I blame the parents. Sending their unfit little lard buckets to school loaded down with tempting snacks and dinner money, without any martial arts training. It's like sending a lamb into the lion enclosure, and then being outraged when it gets eaten.
Aws Grange Hill - generations of primary School children have been scared by the lovely picture of 'big school' it portrays..
How we going to traumatize the nation's 10 year olds now?
They're all traumatising themselves with EVIL VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES, which I suppose in some parts of south London is a reasonable preparation for life on the street
