I just can't see what Bobby has done wrong. Everyone in the press is talking about how great he is. Surely now is the time to bring in the new younger man. I can understand keeping James and Carson. BUT KIRKLAND. No!
Hi NB :) Yeah, HR probably has the squad jotted down on the back of a manilla envelope ;-) I wonder if Green has some sort of personality trait NB (seriously btw) - remember when Caddick wasn't getting picked for England because, primarily, he was a bit of a loner in the dressing room?
Melly - have to agree with you on Defoe - though hope he proves my suspicion wrong. The majority of the Pompey contingent I've interacted with are chuffed to nuts with the signing - I'd have taken Benji over Defoe meself because of the workrate and other things Benji does on the pitch.
I expect the FA will sanction the Benjani to City move later today so the dream ticket of us having both (greedy schmind) is a non-starter :(
From what we hear about Bobby G he's not your average footbuller no Schmindie. For instance he is quite into his journalism and does not need a ghost writer. He's obviously smarter than the average! And from what I hear, he's not one for the glitzy lifestyle either. I can understand why this doesn't fit in with the rest of the squad but surely this is the sort of chap we WANT in our national team?
it's very strange. they were saying on the news that acapella dropped beckham purely cos he didn't want the whole glitzy stuff (that and becks isn't fit enough), but then doesn't pick Bobby G? Poor guy, what does he have to do to get picked???
btw NB did you know he was Mr January in the west ham calendar? I saw it in the dry cleaners this morning.
melly!!! give me some credit puh-leeease! I don't have a calendar at all actually, so ner. There's an Aston Martin desk diary on my coffee table, i don't use that either but i got it free.
i agree that he's the sort of player we would want in t'england set up but, is the sort of player that the england manager and england players would want there.
i've never been quite so sure how david james has fitted in at various clubs tbh - football is a weird old thing :-l

KIRKLAND!
I mean.
KIRKLAND!
He's permanently injured.
I'm NOT happy.
RAGE!!!!
In all honesty Mrs B I think he deserved a call up. James is number one for me but I'd pick Green over Kirkland any day
You'd think picking the younger man would be sensible too!
Bizzzzzzzzare.
*is still trying to work out which players we currently own*

Hi Schmindie - lets hope 'appy 'arry has a list of your squad!
Very strange!
Schminds, what do you make of the Defoe signing? I have never been a huge fan of Defoe, I think he has a lot to prove

As you could probably gather from my ranting reply to your txt, I completely agree with you H.
Well quite Northy!

Give me bobby G over david beckham seeking to prove he's fit by playing keepy uppy on a beach with his top off. What a tit.
