...."Bender Like Beckham" on BBC3 last night?
To be fair, it did have very promising moments, mainly those involving Kiera Knightly running around in shorts and a sports bra. At one point she gyrates in a nightclub in tight leather trousers, and I particularly enjoyed the artistic integrity of that scene.
But on the whole, I found the whole premise of the film about a group of girls actually good enough at football to be in a proper team 'n' that just too far fetched and absurd.
Whatever next?
I suppose we should expect to see a film about a group of women who triumph in a parallel parking team ("Park it like Clarkson") or who can actually throw over arm ("Toss it like Monty").
I won't mind too much so long as Kiera is in the film and doesn't wear many clothes.
