Doesn't seem to be going that well for us, looking at the Pink un. It's good to get Ched back but shame it's only a 2 month loan rather than til end of season and even looks as if Sven has accepted some kind of plea from us cos we have hardly any strikers. On that note we've lost Brown, and now Dave Striker has left... contract terminated so we don't even get any money for him, likewise with Gallacher. Joe Lewis has also gone so we're short of goalies. Apparently we're unlikely to get the Bulgarian defender Iliad or whatever his name is, and the deal for Taylor is not looking much better than that.
Bugger.

On the other hand....I think we've done well to hang onto Ched (for however long, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if that gets extended as Sven gets new players in) Camara, Matty Patty and to get Ryan in. Brown and Strihavka's departures you have to say make sense and reduce our wage bill, and hopefully enable us to negotiate for other players more effectively, although those departures do seem to leave us light up front.
My feeling is that the clear out is very much designed to improve our clout in the transfer window, and we will get Taylor.
Good on Roeder for just knowing that certain players are just not good enough, and to get those players out.
I'm surprised we didn't get anything for DS.
I really don't understand the work permit thing. You would think the question "Are you legally entitled to play football in this country?" would be question 1 on the foreign player signing application form, not a question that gets asked at a player's press conference on signing. If he didn't have a work permit, why waste all that time and money negotiating with him?
Gosh fancy just letting Dave go like that. I guess he is off back home?
Despite all this, I still have 100% confidence in Glenn.
