Their board just seem so stoopid, and need to get real. Newcastle have this delusion that they should be more successful than they are. They ARE a big club in terms of history/fan base/tradition etc, but RELATIVELY, the best they can realistically hope for is to be just outside the top six. Expecting to be seriously challenging for the top four, with the money, players and management of those teams is just living in la-la land, especially if they can't even allow good managers to settle properly.
not sure. have been saying for the last month or so that it's felt as though harry's heart hasn't been in it. i'm not the biggest fan of HR the man but have massive respect for him as a football manager and for his achievements at fratton park.
i'm not sure he'll go just because of the geography (rumours were he turned down spurs before ramos got the job anyway) and the fact that he has, in the main, seemed happy to earn £50k a week working relatively close to home.
whoever 'the toon' appoint needs to be the right appointment (and a long term appointment which makes me think harry would be a no-no). mark hughes, perhaps?
