It is indeed shite and I'm not too sure about the comments in the article about it passing safety tests... probably in countries with NO safety tests. On the other hand, i'll also accept the marketing speak that it's better than having a whole family perched on one scooter. I think they've missed a trick though, at only 33bhp they could have produced an electric one... then again, that would prob be more expensive and debate is raging as to whether that would make pollution worse.
At 33bhp they're probably better off cutting holes in the floor so that the occupants of the car can push themselves along with their feet, like in the Flinstones.
Flintstones, meet the flintstones, they're a modern stone age family, when you're, with the Flintstones Have a yabba, dabba, doo time A dabba doo time....
I know. You could put a big exhaust pipe and wide tyres on it, put blue chav lights under the trims and kit it out with tinted windows, and it would STILL look CRAP.
That car's a death trap if ever I saw one. Designed to get as many people in it as possible with no expense spent on ANY kind of safety features.
Funny you ask as I am just looking at some holidays online now. trying to get a late deal. Bit skint after NZ but really want to get back out on the slopes. We're actually looking at Val d'Isere but it isn't the cheapest place to go. One of our friends is out there at the moment working, similar to what you were doing last year.
I'll be in Val again, Melly, the company I was working for last year have given me a good deal...and this year I'll be a GUEST, not driving the Yellow Peril around the place...
H, you can't really compare like for like though. I am sure packing five people into a large tin can on wheels is marginally safer than having the same five people perched precariously on the handlebars of a moped like the Royal Marines motorcycle display team, but it is all relative....

The car looks rubbish by the way.

Where are you going this time?
Its probably a safer mode of transport than the moped which it is intended to replace! I'll stick with my Clio for the moment though!

Cool, have always wanted to go to Val. We might have to settle for somewhere cheaper this year.
Have they had a good snow fall this year?
Aw Patrick we know you miss the yellow peril really!
I would LOVE to go skiing! its not a very practical prospect at the moment though... ;-(
I dunno, H, you'ld certainly feel the full force of gravitational forces....
Melly, tis snowing in the Alps to oodlesome proportions! They've had about three times the quantity they had in the whole of last year already!
Its not the starting its the stopping that would worry me...
Me thinks you might struggle given your situation.
It's great fun Mrs B, I think you should consider boarding though!
One the little one is old enough to be strapped to a little board alongside maybe!
